Pioneer Technology Center’s campus was filled with energy, curiosity, and hands-on learning as more than 110 future 6th and 7th grade students took part in PTC’s annual Summer Camp program. Throughout the three-day camp, students had the opportunity to explore a variety of career areas while getting a first look at the programs and experiences available at Pioneer Tech. Campers participated in fun, interactive sessions in Teacher Preparation, Culinary Arts, Criminal Justice, Visual Communications, Automotive Technology, Biomedical Sciences, Cosmetology, Construction, Firefighter/EMT, Precision Machining, and Electronics, Automation, & Robotics. The annual camp is designed to introduce younger students to career and technology education in a fun and welcoming environment. From trying new skills to meeting instructors and working alongside other students, campers were able to discover new interests and imagine future career possibilities. At the end of camp, each participant received a commemorative t-shirt to celebrate their week at Pioneer Tech.

Pioneer Tech is also offering Summer Academies for students entering 8th through 10th grade, with enrollment still open in several areas, including STEM Biotech, Youth Police Academy, Construction, Short Film, Youth Firefighter, Horsepower Academy, and more.
