CRAFTING CUSTOM INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS (LUNCH & LEARN) - July 30, 11:30 am - 1 pm in room B131. Creating Materials will walk teachers through the process of using AI to generate materials, then using Canva and other Google Suite platforms, customize the materials to fit your needs and increase the personalization of your class. MARKET RESEARCH FOR SMALL BUSINESSES SELLING TO BIG BUYERS - Thursday, Sept. 26, 11 am - 1 pm, in the BIS Building Room D101. Learn tips and techniques to help small business owners conduct basic market research to obtain the critical information needed to support selling to America’s largest buyers. This training includes a discussion on doing business with large corporations and prime contractors, state and local agencies, as well as the U.S. Federal Government (the world’s largest buyer). CLASS A CDL - A class A CDL is required for operation of a combination of vehicles (such as a tractor connected to a trailer) with a gross vehicle weight of 26,001 pounds or more and a towing capacity of more than 10,000 pounds. This is the more inclusive CDL, allowing for the operation of what most people refer to as big-rigs, tractor trailers, or 18-wheelers. A class A CDL with the correct endorsements should allow the driver to operate many commercial motor vehicles. This includes operating class B and class C trucks.
