Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) is proud to announce Fiona Schalk and Jacob Merhoff as Students of the Month, recognizing their dedication, consistency, and commitment in their respective programs.
Fiona Schalk, a senior at Ponca City High School, is enrolled in the Health Careers Certification program. She is a highly motivated student who consistently demonstrates a strong desire to learn while maintaining excellent grades and actively participating in all class activities. In addition to her academic success, Fiona balances a demanding schedule as a student athlete and is involved in HOSA, where she is further developing her passion for healthcare. Her leadership, work ethic, and positive attitude make her a standout student and a future leader in the healthcare field.
Jacob Merhoff, a senior at Newkirk High School, is enrolled in the Precision Machining program. Jacob is a dedicated and dependable student who takes pride in both his work and his willingness to support others. As a SkillsUSA contestant, he continues to sharpen his technical and leadership skills while representing his program. Jacob is known for assisting fellow students in the shop and contributing to projects that support other PTC programs and community members. His strong work ethic, teamwork, and commitment to excellence make him an outstanding representative of his program.
Students of the Month are selected by instructors based on performance, character, and leadership within their programs. As part of their recognition, Schalk and Meroff will receive Student of the Month cups, allowing them to enjoy complimentary beverages throughout the month.
