Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) is proud to welcome Miranda Ramhorst as the new Health Careers Certification Instructor. Ramhorst officially joined the PTC team in November 2025, bringing with her nearly two decades of experience in the healthcare industry.
A Blackwell native and graduate of Blackwell High School, Ramhorst earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Northern Oklahoma College and later completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University. She worked at Blackwell Hospital for nearly 20 years in a variety of roles, including Emergency Department Nurse, Labor and Delivery Nurse, House Supervisor, Drug Room Manager, and Director of Nursing.
While she has not previously held a formal teaching position, Ramhorst shared that she has always enjoyed educating patients and mentoring newer nurses. “I’ve always wanted to pursue teaching others at some point in my career,” she said. “This opportunity at Pioneer Tech allows me to do exactly that.”
Ramhorst and her husband, Kyle, have been married for 18 years and have a nine year old daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys biking, UTV riding on sand dunes, running, playing tennis, and reading.
When asked what drew her to Pioneer Tech, Ramhorst pointed to the welcoming environment and her positive experiences working with Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) students. “The culture here is personal and positive. PTC truly cares about its students and employees,” she said.
In her new role, Ramhorst is excited to teach and hopefully inspire more students to pursue careers in healthcare. Her goal is to provide a strong foundation in healthcare concepts so students can excel in future educational programs or training.
Ramhorst lives by the quote, “Integrity is doing the right thing, even if nobody is watching.” At Pioneer Tech, she looks forward to modeling that integrity and helping students grow into capable, compassionate healthcare professionals.
