Pioneer Technology Center students recently traveled to Wichita Falls, Texas, to visit Sheppard Air Force Base and observe Airmen in action during the 2025 Mission Generation/Bracer Forge exercises and Mission Generation Competition.
The Mission Generation/Bracer Forge exercises focused on Agile Combat Employment (ACE) concepts. Airmen trained through a variety of real-world scenarios designed to build skills beyond their typical job roles. Students observed activities including tactical combat casualty care, self-aid/buddy care, unexploded ordnance identification, land navigation, munitions handling, and tactical movements, all crucial skills for multi-capable forces.
On September 11, students also attended the Mission Generation Competition, a family-friendly event held on the GITA Ramp. Airmen teams showcased their skills by generating F-15, F-16, C-130, and KC-135 aircraft, providing families and visitors a firsthand look at the precision, teamwork, and resilience required in today’s Air Force.
“These trainings highlight the importance of preparing Airmen for evolving challenges,” said Traci Thorpe, Superintendent/CEO. “For our students to witness this level of dedication and skill was inspiring, educational, and provided insight into available military careers.”
Bracer Forge and Mission Generation initiatives are designed to push Airmen beyond traditional duties, helping them become multi-capable warfighters with a strong warrior mindset. By aligning technical training with operational needs, the Air Force ensures readiness to defend, operate, generate, and sustain air bases in dynamic environments.
Pioneer Tech students left Sheppard Air Force Base with a deeper understanding of the commitment, resilience, and operational excellence that drive the Air Force forward.
