Jordyn Smith and Tyler Busby

Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) is proud to name Jordyn Smith and Tyler Busby as the April Students of the Month. They were chosen by their teachers because of their hard work and great attitude, both in the classroom and beyond.

Jordyn Smith is a junior at Blackwell High School and a student in the Cosmetology program. Her teacher, Kayla Randol, says Jordyn works very hard and always finishes her assignments on time. She does a great job balancing school at PTC and at her high school. Smith is a leader who takes part in SkillsUSA and has done so well that she moved on to compete at the state level. She is also part of the American Spirit team, where she helps promote school pride and supports her community. Her efforts in school and her activities make her a great example of a successful student.

Tyler Busby is an adult student from Ponca City in the Information Technology program. His teacher, Zac Ladner, says Busby is a great student who is always ready to help others. He shows up with a positive attitude and works hard on every task. He is also the afternoon president of the Business Professionals of America (BPA) club and is a leader on the adult Manticore Esports team. He not only plays on the team but also helps younger players learn and grow.

Both Smith and Busby show what it means to live out PTC’s mission of Enhancing Lives and Securing Futures. As part of their award, they will be able to enjoy free drinks in their Student of the Month cups during the month of April.
