Leadership Transitions at Pioneer Tech

Ponca City, OK  — Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) leadership has had multiple transitions this summer.  Kahle Goff, former Instructional Director of Trade and Industry Services, has been named Executive Director of Instruction.  Also Dr. Ryan Burkett has moved from his position as Math Instructor to Instructional Director of Trade and Industry Services.

Kahle Goff is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Trade and Industrial Education.  He also carries two Masters Degrees from East Central University in Ada. One is a Master’s in Education Administration, the other is for School Counseling.  Goff has been at PTC for the last nine years. He began teaching in the CareerTech system at Diamondback Correctional Facility in Watonga, Oklahoma.  He spent five years as an Occupational Services Instructor at Gordon Cooper Tech and then moved to Student Services Coordinator.  Goff spent a little over a year with the Oklahoma Department of CareerTech as a Disability Services Specialist before finally making his home at Pioneer Tech.  He was hired as the SHARE (Sharing Hope and Redefining Education) Counselor and over time gained more administrative responsibilities before taking over his leadership role in the Trade and Industry Service programs.

Dr. Ryan Burkett has spent sixteen total years in education.  Eleven of those were spent at Ponca City High School as a math teacher.  He has worked at PTC for the last five years.  Burkett carries a B.S. from UCO in Mathematics Education. His Master’s Degree in Educational Administration is from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  In 2014 Burkett obtained his Ph.D. in Occupational Education Studies from Oklahoma State University.

Goff and Burkett began their new positions on July 1st.  Pioneer Technology Center classes resume for the semester on August 10th
