PTC’s network of experts and business specialists provide a full range of educational and training programs to meet business needs. The PTC staff has extensive experience with business and industry, as well as with state and federal programs. In addition to the customized training and services provided to business clients and partners, the BIS Center is home to a nationally certified business incubator. Pioneer Tech’s incubator facility is designed to create and nurture the growth and development of fledgling businesses.
The incubator currently houses four start-up businesses. These businesses include Marathon Safety Services, Sooner Heating and Air, Stobbe Design, and V&R OK Spindle Repair Service. Some recent graduates of Pioneer Tech’s Business Incubator program include Etchables, LLC; Lot-Pro Sweeping Service; and Seismic Source Company.
Pioneer Technology Center is also known as being a part of the best Business Expansion and Retention program in the state through the organization’s partnerships with the Ponca City Development Authority (PCDA) and the Oklahoma Employment Securities Commission (OESC). Such partnerships are displayed through the implementation of Pioneer Technology Center’s Plan Room. Since the Plan Room’s establishment in 2003, the PCDA has assisted Pioneer Tech by covering the cost of subscriptions for the Plan Room. These subscriptions make it possible for Plan Room users to receive information on all construction projects that report to F.W. Dodge, Southwest Construction News, and several engineering firms in Oklahoma. As part of the Business Incubator facility, the Plan Room is a resource for local contractors to receive information needed to bid on commercial and government contracts. The Plan Room has consistently assisted local contractors in obtaining projects that impact their combined volumes at multi-million dollar levels.
