Free Federal Tax Workshop

Pioneer Technology Center’s (PTC) Self-Employment Training (SET) program along with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) are offering a free workshop entitled “What You Need to Know About Federal Taxes and Your New Business”.

The speaker, Cheryl Carlton, CPA, will present information on how to set up and run your business so paying taxes isn’t a hassle, and how to file and pay your taxes using a computer. Carlton will also give a general overview of the essential concepts for starting and running your business and learning responsibilities regarding books, records and accounting systems.

Bonnie Cook, SBM coordinator, said “To successfully operate your business, it’s important that you understand federal, state and local tax reporting requirements. This class will provide you with an overview of the essential concepts for starting and running your business.”
This workshop will be held June 3, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Pioneer Tech's Business & Industry Services building in room D101.
