Medical Assisting Students Raise Money for Breast Cancer Awareness

Everyone wants to make a difference in someone’s life. And Pioneer Technology Center Medical Assisting class is no different. The class decided to make a difference by raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness. Pink ribbons were seen all over campus which the class sold to students and staff. They also sold bake goods during students’ breaks. October 28 was designated at “Pink Out Day.” The Medical Assisting class encouraged students and staff to wear pink on that day. The class built a pink paper chain, and for every item sold a pink link was added to show participants how they were making a difference. The Medical Assisting class will send all proceeds to the American Cancer Society. Pictured is Caroline Miller, Farrin Kennedy & Renee’ Simon preparing for the class bake sale.
