Sooner Heating & Air

Zachary Dains, Chad Dollarhide, Amy and Walter Eaton make up the full-time team at Sooner Heat and Air. The company opened in 2007 and operates out of the Pioneer Technology Center Business Incubator.
Sooner Heating & Air has decided that the true way to business excellence is through customer service and their customers’ complete satisfaction. They have done that so far with a 99 percent satisfaction rate. That incredible satisfaction rate is recorded through their TRANE® Customer Service surveys and led to their recent certification as a TRANE® Comfort Specialist dealer.
Considered by many as the test of exhibiting the highest standards of quality customer service, planning, installation, and maintenance of HVAC systems, the TRANE® certification is just one of the many reasons Sooner Heating & Air are a homegrown business achieving excellence.
The company, owned by Walter Eaton and Chad Dollarhide, serves Ponca City, Blackwell and the surrounding areas. They provide service and repair for all makes and models of heating and air condition systems but specialize in the sales and installation of TRANE® equipment.
Walter Eaton is an Unlimited Mechanical Contractor, licensed by the State of Oklahoma. He holds the EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification and an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology from Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in Okmulgee. Eaton has worked in the service and repair of HVAC systems for more than 15 years in both residential and commercial settings.
Dollarhide is an Unlimited Mechanical Journeyman, licensed by the State of Oklahoma with more than four years in the HVAC service and repair business. His background includes 13 years working in sheet metal installation and building. Dollarhide also holds the EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
The two men worked together in a previous HVAC business and teamed up to build Sooner Heat & Air. They also manage two other full-time employees and two part-time employees for the summer. Since shortly after it opened in 2007, the business has been housed in the Pioneer Technology Center Business Incubator. They currently occupy two full suites in the large building and enjoy the services offered by Pioneer Tech that have helped build the business.
“With the help of the Business Incubator staff, TRANE®, and our continued personal dedication, our business will continue to grow by providing prompt, courteous service with knowledgeable and professional service technicians,” said Eaton.
Sooner Heating & Air Office Manager, Amy Eaton, speaks more in-depth about the services provided by Pioneer Tech.
“The entire staff is amazing,” said Amy. “Bonnie Cook, Pioneer Technology Center’s Business Incubator Manager, has provided us with guidance in advertising, marketing, business management and so much more.”
Sooner Heating & Air has combined the knowledge and consulting of Pioneer Technology Center with their own hard work and education to create a completely referral based company.
“We want our customers to recommend us to their friends and family members,” said Dollarhide. “That’s why we participate in the TRANE® customer satisfaction survey.”
