Assessment Information
Assessment Testing is given for fulltime/daytime programs the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month at
8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Call 580.718.4234 to register for testing or stop by Student Services or email.
Seating is first come, first serve - arrive early!
TESTING REQUIRES A GOVERNMENT ISSUED PHOTO ID FOR PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION.
Testing Location: Rm C101C
Purpose: The purpose of the PTC Assessment Center is to provide testing services to potential students and school enrollment personnel to assist them in making informed decisions related to program enrollment.
Testing Instruments Used: The PTC Assessment Center administers COMPASS and the Oklahoma Career Information System (OKCIS). PTC accepts ACT scores if taken within the last three years. Please let Student Services know if you have assessment from another educational institution that may be used. A complete assessment will take approximately 2 – 3 hours. Please allow ample time to complete your assessment.
Areas of Assessment: Students are assessed in the subject areas of Reading, Mathematics, and Writing/Language Skills. An interest inventory is also included in the assessment process.
Assessment Results: You must see the PTC Counselor to receive assessment results. Enrollment or remediation options will be discussed at this meeting.
Financial Aid Eligibility: Due to the many guidelines and laws governing financial aid, please contact the financial aid coordinator for this information.
Re-testing: If you are not satisfied with your assessment results or need remediation in academic skills before enrollment at PTC, you may retest after sufficient remediation has occurred. There is a $12.00 fee for each re-test administration
*You may only test three times in a 30-day period.*
